Statue of Satyr B
The Satyrs were lower mythical beings demons of Greek mythology (spirits of mountains and forests), whom Poetry and Art portrayed from the middle and above almost anthropomorphic, bald and with pointed ears, legs and a goat's tail, in unlike the Selenians, whose lower half of the body resembled a horse. They were, like the Seilins, servants and companions of the god Dionysus, whom they had raised as a child. Their favorite pastime was playing the flute and the guitar, the vintage and the method, but also the hunting of the girls, which together constituted the personification of Nature's fertility.
