Homer is said to be the creator of the poetic texts of The Iliad and Odyssey, one of the earliest texts of the historical period of ancient Greece, known as "Homeric epics". The Iliad consists of 15,693 verses and refers to the last fifty-one (51), Decisive days of the war of Troy, which in total lasted, according to legend, 10 years.
